Months after ‘Mahavatar Narasimha’ shattered box office records and revived India’s box office, the film that is now streaming online, has come under the scanner for allegedly ‘ripping-off’ scenes from other movies.

Viral videos circulating on social media, claim that one of the film’s major action sequences bears striking similarities to an iconic fight scene in ‘God of War’ (2018). The video posted online featured a climactic fight with Narasimha battling Hiranyakashipu while a split-frame showed the Kratos-versus-Baldur showdown in ‘God of War’. According to netizens, the “moves, timing, and camera angles” in both scenes appear nearly identical. Viewers noted that the choreography of the action seemed like it was “copy and pasted,” with one segment allegedly matching “frame by frame.” The post quickly gained traction, sparking discussions about originality in Indian animation.

Spot the difference

Not too long ago, another clip began circulating online that compared the film’s climax to the final battle from ‘The Incredible Hulk’.
