SWISS Zurich-Mumbai flight lands safely after cabin pressurisation snag

NEW DELHI: A SWISS Airbus A330 operating from Zurich to Mumbai Saturday (Dec 27) as SWR 154 suffered a cabin pressurisation snag. The pilot declared PAN PAN, or an urgency message, to Mumbai ATC and then the aircraft landed safely. A SWISS spokesperson said: “During approach to Mumbai, the cockpit crew of our flight LX154 operated with an Airbus A330 detected a malfunction in the pressurisation system. To ensure that there would be no further delay to the landing, the cockpit crew decided to make the appropriate declaration. The landing was uneventful; there was no danger to passengers or crew. The aircraft was then inspected on the ground and cleared for the return flight, which took place as scheduled.
