Akshay Kumar is preparing for the release of his upcoming movie ‘Bhooth Bangla’. Following several delays, the Priyadarshan-directed film is now slated to hit theaters on April 10. For context, it was pushed back due to the blockbuster run of ‘Dhurandhar 2’, officially known as ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’. In the lead-up to the premiere, Akshay made a visit to the famous Mahakaleshwar Temple in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh.

The actor, a devoted follower of Lord Shiva, was seen at the Jyotirlinga shrine alongside his mother-in-law, legendary actress Dimple Kapadia. He offered prayers for blessings and the nation’s well-being. He also addressed the press during his temple visit. Speaking about the devotional outing, the actor stated, “It was really good…I prayed for the entire country and my family. I prayed that may our country always excel and progress.”

‘Bhooth Bangla’ reunites Akshay with legendary director Priyadarshan after a 14-year gap. The duo’s past hits include comedy gems like ‘Hera Pheri’, ‘Bhagam Bhag’, and ‘De Dana Dan’. The film pairs the superstar romantically with Wamiqa Gabbi. Ektaa Kapoor backs the project, which boasts a strong cast including Tabu, Rajpal Yadav, Asrani, Paresh Rawal, and others.
