Akshaye Khanna is the man of the moment for all good and bad reasons. On one side is his performance in Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar as Rehman Dakait, people are calling him the scene stealer to pulling out old videos and interviews and realising how good an actor he is. And on the other side came the news about him stepping away from Ajay Devgn led Drishyam 3 just 10 days before the shoot of the film. In a report by Bollywood Hungama, Kumar Mangat shared that Akshaye heard the script, loved it and even took advances for it and 10 days before the shoot of the film stopped taking calls. He was ultimately replaced by Jaideep Ahlawat for it. Now a video is doing the rounds of social media where Arshad Warsi who worked with Akshaye Khanna on films like Hulchul and Shortkut- The Con is On is praising the actor. The clip from Lallantop’s interview with Arshad, he was shown an image of their film and talking about Akshaye, Arshad said , “ He’s a very serious guy , he’s been a very good actor from the start- there was never a doubt about that” Adding more he states , “He lives in his own world and lives on his own terms- he doesn’t care about anybody. What anyone thinks about him or doesn’t think about him is your problem not his – he doesnt care about pr or anything and hes been like this from the beginning.” Akshaye will reportedly next be seen in Anurag Singh’s Border 2 where in a cameo appearance he would be reprising his role of 2nd Lieutenant Dharamvir Singh Bhakhri in a cameo appearance. He will be digitally ge-aged along with Suneil Shetty and Sudesh Berry. He would also be making his Telugu debut with Mahakali where he would be playing the role of Shukaracharya- the teacher of the Asurs.
