Mohanlal and Jeethu Joseph’s ‘Drishyam 3’ continued its impressive theatrical run on Day 6, although the film witnessed a routine weekday decline at the box office. According to Sacnilk, the Malayalam thriller earned Rs 6.45 crore net in India on its first Tuesday, marking a 16.2 percent drop from the Rs 7.70 crore net collected on Monday.The film was screened across 4,668 shows on Day 6. While collections dipped slightly, the overall performance remained strong for a working day. The latest figures have pushed the film’s total India net collection to Rs 68.60 crore.
‘Drishyam 3’ worldwide gross crosses Rs 170 crore
‘Drishyam 3’ has now crossed a major milestone at the global box office. The film collected Rs 6 crore overseas on Day 6, taking its total international gross to Rs 90.70 crore.Combined with domestic earnings, the worldwide gross collection has reached Rs 170.32 crore in just six days.Kerala continued to lead the film’s box-office performance on Day 6. The state contributed Rs 5.65 crore gross.The state-wise gross collection report showed Andhra Pradesh and Telangana contributing Rs 60 lakhs while Tamil Nadu added Rs 50 lakhs. Karnataka generated Rs 43 lakhs and the rest of India contributed Rs 30 lakhs.Language-wise, the Malayalam version remained the clear leader with Rs 5.50 crore net collection from 2,641 shows. The Telugu version earned Rs 60 lakhs from 1,310 shows, while the Tamil version collected Rs 25 lakhs from 530 shows. The Kannada version added Rs 10 lakhs from 187 shows.
Evening and night shows record strong occupancy
The Malayalam version registered an overall occupancy of 39.06 percent on Day 6.Morning shows recorded 22.33 percent occupancy which increased to 32.75 percent in the afternoon. Audience turnout improved significantly during evening and night shows by recording 46.83 percent and 54.33 percent occupancy respectively.The Telugu version reported an overall occupancy of 14.75 percent, while Tamil occupancy stood at 19.24 percent. The Kannada version recorded 14.53 percent occupancy.
OTT release
While ‘Drishyam 3’ continues its successful theatrical run attention has also turned to its digital release.
